CDK5-p25

CDK5-p25 assay

Cyclin dependent kinase 5 (complex with p25)

Synonyms: cell division protein kinase 5

Family: CMGC

CDK5 is a proline-directed serine/threonine protein kinase and a member of cyclin dependent kinase family. CDK5 is a a crucial regulator of neuronal migration in the developing central nervous system1. CDK5 shows no enzymatic activity as a monomer, and has two binding partners p35 and p39. p25 is a truncated form of p35 and CDK5-p25 complex shows higher kinase activity and neurotoxicity2.

CDK5-p25 kinase assay is run on mobility shift microfluidics platform (Caliper), which provides best in industry quality of data. We routinely run services associated with this kinase including: screening, profiling, dose-response studies and kinetic measurements. Please contact us for more information.
