CRAF

CRAF assay

Raf-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase

Synonyms: c-Raf, “C-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase”, Raf-1

Family: TKL (Tyrosine Kinase like)

RAF was named after Rapidly Accelerated Fibrosarcoma1, it possesses serine/threonine kinase activity and is the receptor tyrosine kinase effector. Originally RAF was discovered as a cellular oncogene transduced by transforming retroviruses2. RAF has three isoforms (ARAF, BRAF, CRAF) and CRAF is the most extensively studied since it is the  only isoform expressed ubiquitously. CRAF was shown to activate MEK, an upstream activator of ERK and therefore linked to ERK/MAP kinase cascade.

CRAF kinase assay is run on mobility shift microfluidics platform (Caliper), which provides best in industry quality of data. We routinely run services associated with this kinase including: screening, profiling, dose-response studies and kinetic measurements. Please contact us for more information.
